About Me

My undergraduate degree is in secondary education with a concentration in biology.  I taught for two years.  I began work as a sanitarian in Texas, 1978.  After returning to Kansas in 1983, I worked for the Riley County-Manhattan Health Dept. until 1998.  During that time I got a MS from K-State in Adult and Continuing Education.  In 1998 I took a position with K-State Research and Extension and coordinated several publications, then became the Kansas Environmental Leadership Program (KELP) coordinator in 2001.  I retired in 2010.   In retirement I continue to create jewelry, which I show and sell through art festivals and galleries.

About Me

I work for the KS Dept. of Agriculture in the Division of Water Resources as the State Nationa Flood Insurance Program Coordinator.  I previously worked for the Dept. of Health and Environment in the Lead Poisoning Prevention Program.  I received my RS in 2003 and served as the president of KEHA in 2005-2006.  I have kept my credential but have not had much contact with KEHA over the past couple of years.  I would like to change that and try to become active in the association again.
