Prior to working with the county I was employed by the State.  Worked for KDOT from 1966 to 1971 and which point I was hired the Board of Health in Topeka.  Board of Health later became the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and I was transferred the Chanute District Office where I worked until 1991.  I then transferred over to the Bureau of Surface Mining in Pittsburg and retired from the State in March 1994.  During my time with KDHE I worked with the Water & Wastewater Bureau, The Solid Waste Section, Hazardous Waste Section and the mining section.  I was also the Chanute Office manager for most of the time I was in Chanute (1974-1991).

Married (45 years) wife Lois, one daughter(Paula), four grandchildren, all of which we later adopted and raised. Served in Navy from 1958 to 1962.  Attended Pittsburg State University and Wasburn University.  Golf and Bowl.
