About Me

I work for the KS Dept. of Agriculture in the Division of Water Resources as the State Nationa Flood Insurance Program Coordinator.  I previously worked for the Dept. of Health and Environment in the Lead Poisoning Prevention Program.  I received my RS in 2003 and served as the president of KEHA in 2005-2006.  I have kept my credential but have not had much contact with KEHA over the past couple of years.  I would like to change that and try to become active in the association again.

About Me

Member of KEHA (KAS) since 1982.  Registered Sanitarian (#32). Currently working part time with the Crawford County Department of Environment as their Registered Sanitarian. Prior to working with the county I was employed by the State.  Worked for KDOT from 1966 to 1971 and which point I was hired the Board of Health in Topeka.  Board of Health later became the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and I was transferred the Chanute District Office where I worked until 1991.  I then transferred over to the Bureau of Surface Mining in Pittsburg and retired from the State in March 1994.  During my time with KDHE I worked with the Water & Wastewater Bureau, The Solid Waste Section, Hazardous Waste Section and the mining section.  I was also the Chanute Office manager for most of the time I was in Chanute (1974-1991).

Married (45 years) wife Lois, one daughter(Paula), four grandchildren, all of which we later adopted and raised. Served in Navy from 1958 to 1962.  Attended Pittsburg State University and Wasburn University.  Golf and Bowl.

About Me

Director of both Noxious Weed Department and Environmental Services for Pratt County.

I am also Past President of KEHA, having served in the year 2019.

I received the "Sanitarian of the Year" award for the year 2019.

I organized a Soil Profile Training and ATU Training that netted over $7,000, donating half to KEHA and the other half to KSFA. Also, helped organize a "Mound Training" in Kingman County.

Let me know how I can help arrange for some training in your county.
